1. Not financial advice
Everything on this site is general information, published for education and discussion. That includes the headline answers, signals, colours, charts, guides, emails and downloads. None of it:
- is a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security, fund, currency or other asset;
- takes account of your circumstances, goals, finances or tolerance for risk;
- is an offer or solicitation of any kind; or
- creates an adviser–client or any other professional relationship.
The site is not run by a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer or financial planner. Before making financial decisions, do your own research and consider speaking to a qualified, licensed professional.
2. Signals are not forecasts
The warning levels are simple rules applied to public data, not a validated forecasting model. A red signal doesn't mean a downturn will happen, and a green one doesn't mean it won't. Past readings and the backtests described in the methodology show how the rules would have scored on history. They do not guarantee future results, and they use data that has since been revised.
3. Data comes with no guarantee
The data comes from third parties: FRED (Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis), the Bank for International Settlements and the CFTC. It can be delayed, revised, incomplete or wrong, and the site's own calculations can contain errors. The site and everything on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. The site may be unavailable at times, and features may change or stop without notice.
4. Your decisions are your own
You alone are responsible for any decision you make, and for its results, whether or not you used information from this site. Investing involves risk, including the loss of money you put in.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site's operators are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or reliance on it. This covers trading or investment losses and lost profits, and direct, indirect or consequential loss.
6. Indemnity
If you break these terms or misuse the site, and someone brings a claim against the site's operators because of it, you agree to cover the resulting losses, damages and reasonable legal costs.
7. Who may use the site
You must be 18 or older to create an account. Don't use the site where doing so would be against the law that applies to you.
8. Accounts
Member accounts are free. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account. Accounts may be suspended or removed if they are misused, for example by automated scraping or attempts to break into the site. You can delete your account at any time from your account page.

9. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. After a significant change, members are asked to agree to the new version before using the dashboards again. For everyone else, continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new terms.
10. General
These terms are the whole agreement between you and the site's operators about the site. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a part of them at some point doesn't waive the right to enforce it later. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, whose courts handle any dispute about them.
